β˜• Established The Listening Space, providing a safe place for men to talk, listen or simply enjoy a brew with others who understand.

🚴 Introduced Mersey Cycling Therapy, helping men connect while improving their physical and mental wellbeing.

πŸ† Represented Mersey Mind Project at the Mental Health World Cup at Goodison Park and organised our own Football Therapy Inclusion Tournament at Marine FC.

πŸ’· Secured funding from Sport England, National Lottery Community Fund, Wirral CVS, Cycling UK and Medicash Foundation, and Mayor of Wirral’s Charity helping ensure our services remain free and accessible.

🀝 Built incredible partnerships with organisations including Marine FC, Shaftesbury Youth Club, Magenta Living, Wirral Strength & Fitness and so many others who have believed in our vision.

None of this would have been possible without our amazing trustees, volunteers, partners, funders, supporters and, most importantly, every man who has walked through our doors and trusted us to be part of their journey.

What We Do

Mersey Mind Project delivers four core programmes designed to support men’s mental health in accessible, non-clinical ways.

Mersey Football Therapy provides a safe, inclusive environment where participants can engage in football while naturally opening up through conversation, helping to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing without pressure to talk.

The Listening Space offers a relaxed, informal setting where individuals can connect over a brew, listen, or share at their own pace, removing the stigma often associated with traditional support groups.

Mersey Bootcamp Therapy combines structured physical activity with social connection, helping participants build routine, confidence and resilience while improving both physical and mental health.

Mersey Cycling Therapy, funded by Cycling UK, is not just about getting out on bikes – it uses movement, fresh air, and connection to help people feel stronger, clearer, and more grounded, building confidence, independence, and a positive mindset that supports long-term mental wellbeing and resilience.

Together, these programmes create multiple entry points into support, ensuring individuals can engage in a way that feels comfortable, relatable and sustainable.
